Resignation of Walton County Democratic Party Chair

Effective September 12, 2005 I resign as Chair of the Walton County Democratic Executive Committee.  My resignation is given with mixed emotions.  I look forward to working on specific Democratic issues that are very important to me, but regret leaving many projects and issues unfinished and unresolved.  I thank everyone who worked with me during the past years and look forward to continuing our work and friendship.  The time I spent as your chair was one of pride and renewed respect for my fellow Democrats.  We are the party of compassion, hope and fairness for all citizens. As Jackie Malone so often said, Press On, we will persevere.  I thank you for the opportunity.

Willa Hertwig will automatically assume the Chairs position until a new Chair is elected.  Willa will schedule a meeting within 45 days to elect a new Chair.
